Many of you have noticed that I have been absent from all Social Media, email and even this blog since last Saturday. Why you ask? My son was born Saturday, August 21st at 8:19 P.M. All waking moments in the past week have been focused and fully devoted to my family. I appreciate your patience as we settle in. I will return next week and publish new content frequently.
Until then, please take the time to read, comment and share my most popular articles from the past 6 months.

Two blog posts created great inspiration for discussion. Read a couple excerpts below and join in!
Facebook is Ignoring Core Issues. Is it time to leave?
“Consistency IS the key to sustainability, but consistency in WHAT? People get married, and then they experience more life circumstances that cause them to change over time. Does that mean every marriage is doomed, because no one will stay perfectly consistent with what they were like when they married? Not at all. The sustainability is built on *certain* consistencies, not on everything staying consistent.” by Meg @ahrdor
Time Budgeting. Do You Really Need More Twitter Followers?
“True though there just HAS to be a limit, simply defining a metric almost goes against the very idea of social media being such a personal, diverse and democratic media environment. While the environment is so rapidly expanding with so many different voices and messages limiting gross numbers in the name of engagement is kinda like restricting yourself to only listening to 3 bands so you can hear more music. Consider for example a movie buff who gets netflix, satellite, and now google tv out of a love of movies and then sets the filters to only play media including Meryl Streep. What would they miss and how would they even know?
Without exploration, engagement on social media might as well just be an email instead of a post.” by Bryan Bliss @Social_Media_WI
The future
It’s amazing to think that we can become so connected through Social Media and a blog like my own. How the world becomes small as our network expands across oceans. How my thoughts on common topics such as Social Media, design and customer service can provide endless opportunities in my career. If it feels this good to have a few devoted fans I can’t imagine what it will feel like as I begin speaking again this fall (October 7th – details soon).
As my world changes I look forward to evolving as a writer, consultant and friend. Moving forward means I must first reflect on the past. What were your favorite moments of the past 6 months on this blog? Favorite comments? Articles? A moment that provided a new perspective on a topic perhaps?
Thank you.
